Feeling Stuck…
…or disconnected from your body, people who matter to you, and your goals? Do you find it hard to label how you really feel? Have you tried everything to “get rid” of uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, and sensations? What if there was another way?
Feeling Alone…
…and tired of having to explain yourself to people who don’t understand? Have you been called “sensitive,” “dramatic,” or an “over-thinker”? Were you told to “stop crying it won’t solve anything”? Do you replay times you’ve disappointed others or made a mistake? You are welcome here.
Feeling Burned Out…
….and done with self-sacrificing and putting others first? Are you a “fixer” and have a back up plan to the back up plan? Do you focus on helping others, neglect your own needs, and feel resentful when nobody is there to help you? You can get what you need.

Why Effort and Ease?
Patanjali’s Sutras repeatedly reference striking a balance between steadiness of effort and detachment from the outcomes. The sutras first mention abhyasa (persistent effort) and vairagya (non-attachment) as the building blocks to self-understanding and stilling the mind.
If you have attended a yoga class, you have likely heard the terms sthira (“effort”) and sukham (“ease”). These are focused on finding a balance in the physical posture maintained in meditation, however they can be applied to all areas of our lives.
Effort requires us to be rooted in what matters to us, connect to personal strength, and stay focused on our goals. While ease encourages us to be patient, find joy, and remain non-attached to the outcomes.
Whether it’s in a therapy session or a yoga class, my goal for clients is to find balance between effort and ease.
